In the heart of Venice, the Church of San Giacometo in Rialto is open out to a project devoted to brasilian music, jazz, songwriting and bossanova. From May, 8 until June, 26 Rosa Emilia brings in Rialto Noites Tropicales Live, seven appointments with brasilian music, originated from the contamination of ancestral african rhytms and western culture.
The singer celebrates important brasilian authors, from Tom Jobin to Chico Buarque and Caetano Veloso, and her live sets are journeys through the different colours of Brasil, from the spontaneous sensuality of the Samba to the formal elegance of the finest songwriting.
Noites Tropicales festival will be inaugurated Saturday May, 8 at the Church of San Giacometo in Rialto, the oldest church of Venice located in the heart of Rialto Market. Ancient crossroad of ideas, cultures, commerce and diplomacy, Rialto is a perfect place to highlight the different traditions and rhytms of brasilian music.
Concerts will take place every saturday at 8.45 pm until June, 26.
