In an attempt to substain the commercial activities also by seizing the opportunities of touristic development, the projects aims at identifying a touristic offer connected to the quality and excellence that have always characterised the ancient Market. The offer has to be sustainable and in total harmony with the residential vocation of Rialto area, in order to safeguard quality of life.
The project will develop through a series of events, planning with citizens, merchants and associations. Moreover a 2.0 website will be launched and the communication of the project will lead off with a campaign with online press, blogs, the most important touristic search engines and international press, along with the promotion at touristic fairs and international events.
The programme of the events was designed to narrate Rialto history through the centuries: the aim is to let the tourists discover ancient and artistic spots of Rialto, its original vocations and their connection with present times, and to help residents and local economic operators to renew their sense of identity in this place. Perfomances, jazz music, entertainment for kids will enliven Campo San Giacometo, Campo Bella Vienna, the Pescheria, the Erbaria, the Market and Ruga Rialto in March and April 2010.
The website www.rialtovenezia.com communicates on different levels: the GoogleMap geolocalizes the services and the events, while other sections will be devoted to the history of Rialto, the stakeholders and to the images of the area. Moreover a Blog section will offer constant information and updates about the area, the events and the protagonists. The website will connect with all faces of Rialto digital identity: pages on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Friendfeed and YouTube but also on bookmarking sites, travel and free-time devoted sites.
The project, the events and the communication are developed by Fnv Srl, a communication and marketing agency based at the Venice Cube of the Giudecca island in Venice.
